Helen's book Danger by Design
Danger by Design is about scamming the elderly. They are a particularly vulnerable group of people. Net Petrone, a superstitious Italian senior citizen, has recently moved into a retirement community. She finds out that the previous owner, as well as many others in the community, joined a fraudulent society which was supposed to work for environmental reforms. But, at their meetings, they served the participants an hallucinogenic tea. Some of them then signed over all their assets to the society.
Net is outraged and wants to expose these people. In so doing, she puts herself in danger and barely escapes with her life.
People of any age will benefit from reading this book. As a senior citizen myself, I have been subjected to many scams. Fortunately, I say threw most of them, but have wasted a fair amount of money on some. I want to warn others to beware.
The most difficult part of writing any book is the middle section. The author knows the beginning and has an idea of the ending, but must keep the reader interested in those one hundred pages in the middle.
It takes me about a year from start to the finished product to write a 70,000 word book.
