Klondike accompanied me at my table. He also got to meet some wonderful dogs, both homeless and beloved companions. The dogs also had fun bobbing for hotdogs as you can see with adoptable Shirley expertly grabbing one underwater.
About IAMRA
Illinois Alaskan Malamute Rescue Association
Please do your homework first before bringing a dog into your home. Alaskan Malamute are big dogs. They can be clowns, born to pull (including people) and do shed. They are not always obedient and sometimes have a high prey drive.
The "cost per dog" tends to be high, as they take in quite a few special needs dogs, sanctuary dogs, And some of their dogs have been in their program for quite some time. Please consider a donation to help out the mals.
If you feel an Alaskan Malamute is right for you, check out the IAMRA adoption page at www.iamra.org/dogs-currently-available-for-adoption.html
They sometimes have malamute mixes as well.
Available Dogs
Here are a couple of the homeless dogs that I met at the IAMRA event.
Shirely loves couch snuggles and watching TV with her humans. She seems to get along well with other dogs (males in particular), but she does have a high prey drive, so no kitties or small animals please. And she is an expert at bobbing for hotdogs. This lady LOVES fetch! If you have an arm, Shirley is looking for you. www.iamra.org/dogs-currently-available-for-adoption.html
